this might sound a bit weirdlast thursday (11th jan) there were verry high winds around the old hall st area were i work. the winds were so severe that they blew of bits of the building that is being built next to us causing damage to our building. the wind was like this all over the city that day.
since then the wind has not been a problem but today there has been excesivly high winds again. exactly a week later.
this is the bit that might sound a bit stupid, but could there be something causing these windy thursdays ie a power station near by having increased output, more trafic on the river or something else that gets the wind all riled up?
after all thay do say that if a buterfly flaps its wings in china it can cause a huricane in new mexico.

I wish I hadn't travelled to China to annoy butterflies last year
The wind outside is mental, my neighbour's yard wall has fallen over and my brother said there was a car upside down in Allerton although this may be more to do with it hitting a lamppost as well

It was windy here but nothing like as bad as it sounded back home. Still got blown along the street though, and I saw a few people get knocked off their bikes by the wind.

seeing people fall of bikes for any reason is always funny. except racist hate crimes pushing someone off a bike. thats not funny.
|
Louis

what would have been funnier was being blown off the bike by the wind into the river

and then being eaten by a shark

Tragedy is when I cut my finger, comedy is when you fall into an open sewer and die.

I was blown off my bike, although she doesn't like me calling her that
In town when I was standing in the rattling bus-stop, I saw two scalls laugh cos a student dropped a piece of paper which blew away, then I nearly pissed myself as the scally's hat blew off, he looked like someone had just smacked him with a baseball bat wrapped in cement

I was blown up an alley way, and it cost me a tenner

There was a stupid, quirky, Newsround-type show called Your News on BBC News 24 this morning and the very first item was people's photos showing a picture taken of that crane that fell over in Colquitt Street in Liverpool
The squeaky-voiced woman who was talking about it said "This was sent in by Jenny Smith from Liverpool, nobody was injured"
They've done their fucking research well haven't they?
|
Gibbo

Why was someone injured?
|
Dave
|
Slightly worse than that, a Polish builder was crushed to death
|
Gibbo

Unfortunate, stupid wind.

Damnit! there's such a shortage in builders as it is.
