Glastonbury 2007 Competition

Entries for The Glastonbury Festival Emerging Talent Competition 2007 are now being accepted.

The competition aims to get as many new musicians at the festival as possible and give them an opportunity to play one of the main stages.

One overall winner gets a chance to play Glastonbury's Other Stage.

The lucky band will also get a chance to record a session at the BBC's Maida Vale Studios.

Past winners have included The Subways, Nizlopi and Paris Motel.

Find out the details for competition entry at Glastonburyfestivals.co.uk. The closing date is January 5.

I should be going, I'd be WELL chuffed to say i saw you guys at Glasto 2007 Cool
Gibbo

I always wanted to go to Glasto but then when all the Glastobergers turned up at Leeds this year I realise they were just a bunch of wankers.
JakeTheMasterOfDance

Well, I'm HOPEFULLY going.

My mums going to see southside johnny or something, and I was like, if she went, and didnt take me, that would be unfair to the nether reaches of the earth.
WOULDNT YOU SAY?
James

I WOULD SAY!

i'd like to go to glastonbury

POINTLESS THREAD ALERT
Scratch-n-sniff

I'd love to go, but I always have exams on! After my disasterous SAT's, when I went to Deconstruction for the weekend and did badly, my parent's banned me from festivals in the examination periods
Louis

id love to go too, bit late with my reply though
Gibbo

If the Glastonburgers at Leeds this year are anything to go by, it'll be full of pretentious pricks with their kids, whining about the quality of everything in Southern accents and generally being obnoxious. I would like to go just for the experience of Glasto, but I am sure Leeds would be the better festy.

did we enter this yet?

Yes I agree...however Reading is better! As someone who has been to both festivals and is neither northern or southern then I think my view counts. Reading is better, end of!
Gibbo

Less exciting though, and harder to get tickets. The Reading site is quite pokey by the looks of it, and is on an industrial estate...

Reading = chilled out w.e, good music, great atmosphere, no stress
Leeds = pickpockets, riots and near misses with 2 litre bottles of water thrown at our camp
Gibbo

Riots were hilarious, never been pickpocketed there, never had stuff thrown at me. Guess it just depends on your own experiences.
Scratch-n-sniff

I was nearly killed by that 2 litre bottle of water im sure!
